I have worked in the international finance and insurance sector for over a decade with a significant focus on the Asia market. During this time, I have been fortunate to work with clients from over 30 different countries, of all ages and with a broad range of personal financial circumstances.
I consider building long-term relationships with clients and their families to be the most important and rewarding part of my role and I look forward to growing on this for decades to come.
I believe we are in a period of time where people are no longer just working abroad for a short period, sent by a large multi-national company on a set term contract, but instead are making Asia and the Middle East in particular, their long-term homes.
More and more people are working on a local contract basis where the salary is often very competitive, but they receive almost nothing in terms of pensions, life insurance and long-term financial protection.
I strongly believe that people making their homes abroad are looking for a long-term relationship with their financial advisor, based on a transparent and symbiotic arrangement, and I founded Quintessential AMG in order to be able to provide this.
Quintessential AMG have two key areas that I feel separate us from the rest of the industry:
Assets Under Management Model
Wherever possible we seek to work on an assets under management fee model. For example, on a lump sum investment account or platform, we simply take an annual percentage fee on the value of the account and do not take commissions at all. Therefore, the monetary fee we make is directly linked to the performance of your account and gives you the comfort of knowing that we are always working on your behalf.
Why do we work this way?
In my experience, there are too many international financial advice companies that still work on a commission model which tends to benefit the advisor more than the client. The accounts they provide have long commitment periods, surrender penalties and high costs which will always have a negative effect on the long-term performance of the account.
Dealing with our Founder
All clients will have a direct relationship with myself or will be overseen by me through their individual Quintessential AMG advisor. I am passionate in upholding the principles of the company and the company is carefully scaled in order to ensure that these core principles are upheld by all of our advisors and employees.
Why do we work this way?
One of the most common complaints I have heard from clients who have dealt with other international financial advice companies is that they no longer deal with the advisor who they originally contracted with.
Many of these companies hire dozens of young advisors who only stay for a short time at the company before moving on or leaving the industry completely. This often leaves the client without an advisor or with a new advisor that they do not have a personal relationship with.
I personally ensure that Quintessential AMG operates to build long-term relationships with our clients and to avoid the issues of changing advisors.
